FINALLY!  I assembled the MiniFigs tanks I picked up several months ago and have taken a few pics as comparison shots to comparable Pithead and Panzer Depot offerings.  The MiniFigs tanks had big chunks of flash to deal with, and the T-34/85 was a bit fun as the gun is cast separately, but as you can see, they are nicely detailed, perfectly sculpted, and cleanly cast (other than those big chunks).

Ohio Korean War Memorial

I did not realize that Dayton was home to the Ohio Korean War Memorial until stumbling upon it on the Historical Markers Database.  In looking at the pictures on the listing, I knew that it must be quite the memorial and so I took a quick drive north to go visit the location.  The memorial is just north of downtown, right along the Great Miami River, and is quite a beautiful location.  If you are ever in the area, particularly to visit the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the memorial is an easy ten minute drive from the museum.

Recent Goodies

I had forgotten about this has been sitting in draft mode for months!

Having an Amazon Wishlist is a good thing....

The wife gifted me a couple of Korean War books for Christmas from my Amazon Wishlist.  Rangers in Korea by Robert W. Black and Air War Over Korea by Larry Davis were under the tree Christmas morning (along with some other non-Korean War books).  The first book is a history of the nearly twenty Ranger companies that served during the Korean War years, with details of training, weapons, organization, and combat history.  The second is one of those classic Squadron/Signal publications loaded with photos and graced with several color profiles.  Both titles will definitely enhance my Korean War library.
